Diese Seiten sind der Installation von SuSE Linux 6.3 AXP auf einem Digital AlphaServer 1000A gewidmet.
Info: Mein Alpha-Linux Projekt ist gestoppt, da ich keinen Alpha-Server mehr zur Verfuegung habe.

Status:
Zur Zeit gelingt es nicht, SuSE 6.3 AXP vollstaendig zu installieren.
Nachdem mit Yast alle Pakete eingespielt sind, wird versucht, das installierte
System zu booten.
Da passierts. Linux bootet nicht, auf dem Monitor ist nur ein blinkender Cursor zu sehen.
Die Suche in verschiedenen News-Groups hat leider noch keine Loesung hervorgebracht.
Es scheint, dass der AlphaServer 1000A in der Linux Community nicht sehr verbreitet ist ?

Booten mit Floppy von der SRM-Console
boot dva0 -file /vmlinux.gz -flags "root=/dev/fd0 load_ramdisk=1 bootdevice=/dev/fd0"
Linux in der SRM-Console automatisch booten
